A Whole Day With Mommy and Daddy

Life stays so busy that I do not feel like we have a lot of whole days to spend as a family. Usually the weekends are full of chores and errands and either Mike or myself are trying to get things done, so there is a lot of splitting time with Lexi. Today was a perfect day! We went to the park as a family and then met my family for breakfast at Cracker Barrel. We spent the rest of the day hanging out with my family and then Debbie and Carl that evening. Lexi had a really fun day and we managed to get a couple of pictures:) The highlight of Lexi's day was definitely feeding the ducks at the pond after dinner...though she ate most of their bread:)

Lexi's visit with Bella and Grandpa

My dad and Iva came into town this weekend for the long Memorial Day weekend. Lexi got to spend some quality time with them. Though shy, I know she had fun! Lexi also loved spending time with her cousin, Baylee. It was a busy weekend so there were not a lot of pictures, but we managed to get a couple:) Lexi loves her grandparents and cannot wait to see them again!!

Roseola!

As noted in my prior post, my poor baby was sick last week. When we took her to KidMed, one of the things they said it could be was Roseola, a viral infection that would produce a rash when the fever ended. Of course there is no way to know it is Roseola until the rash develops! Luckily, the rash does not itch or burn and means the illness is over. Adults also don't usually get it:) It looks like the Miller household is well again and Lexi does not seen to mind her rashes one bit:)

Lexi's New "wheels"

Mike and I have been wanting to get Lexi a wagon for a little while now and since we were going to be going on a picnic with his parents tonight at Maymont, we thought it was a perfect time to go ahead and get it. Lexi loved it and looked like such a big girl riding in her new wagon!

Lexi's Weekend

Since Lexi was just getting over being sick this weekend, she was extra clingy--which meant more mommy and Lexi time:). Lexi is a very independent child and does not like to be held or loved on too much anymore. This is good, as she is gaining independence for life, but it makes her mommy so sad--I just want to hold on to her forever! Mommy and Lexi went to the park Saturday morning for some girl time while daddy did yard work. Lexi loves being outside! She also got to try an ice cream sandwich for the first time--compliments of daddy--just before dinner:) Here are some pics of Lexi this weekend--who would have ever known she was sick??

CHEESE!

With the help of a little Panera mac and cheese from Gram and Pop Pop, I would say this girl is starting to feel a whole lot better:). The fever is down and she is acting like she has more energy--though that could be because she took 4 hours worth of naps today!!

Lexi's Fever:(

Since Lexi was born, I can only think of a time or two she has has a fever--even with all of her ear infections! Yesterday morning she had a low grade fever, but acted fine (as she always has when she is sick). She went to daycare and by the time she got home, it was 102 degrees! Around 10:00, she woke up and was hysterical. We took her fever and it was 103.8! Definitely the highest ever! Mike and I decided to take her to KidMed-an urgent care place for kids. Strep was negative, but they don't know what's wrong! They gave her some meds to bring the fever down and she came home and fell fast asleep! Today, she a has a fever, but she is getting a little TLC from mommy who stayed home with her:) Of course, she is still her crazy self! Here is a picture of my poor, pitiful, baby at KidMed last night. She loves her daddy!
